Default London trauma centres too far?

Hi everyone
Did you read about the 4 new trauma centres that will be built by end of next year.
How odd, do you guys think its because our crime has gone up so much that they are planning a way to accommodate all those who have endured gun shot wounds…hectic!
And all 4 of these are close to central London creating an ambulance trip of 45 minutes if someone gets shot near Heathrow or something like that.
Why couldn’t they disperse the centres more evenly across London?
But this is still good news, especially for people working in the health sector who are currently in search of employment.

Talk again
Janine

Personally I think its a dumb ass idea, when they could actually spend the money in existing hospitals adding to them instead of building new...

They would get far more for their money and have a wealth of extra knowledge and support right on the doorstep instead of being on their own, if thats how its going to work.

Central London to heathrow by ambulance is only about 15 minutes too, its 45 by car for us mere mortals without the flashing lights and sirens

Luckily these centres will be part of hospitals, I can't remember all of them but I know St Mary's Hospital is one of them.
So maybe its not such a bad idea...just don't get yourself hurt far from central London...
