So, how do you find life with pets in London?

Is it a nightmare having a dog due to lack of open spaces?
Pain in the ass to keep a parrot due to pollution?
Completely crass keeping a cat in cramped conditions?

For me its really good, living on the outskirts of Croydon, I'm surrounded by lots of open space, good parks that are fenced in from the roads too, so taking our 2 labradors to the park is great fun in the afternoons and really brightens the day...

Whats life like in London for you and your pets?

I own a little leopard gecko, so I don't have to worry about walking him or letting him venutre outside.
I live on the outskirts and luckily live in quite a nice quiet area. I am not sure I would want to keep him in a really busy area of London though. He is nocturnal and would probably be woken up through all the noise and become rather stressed

Well I have three cats and they are fine! We have a huge back garden and live off the main road so I don't find it to be too bad either!

Although one of my cats recently had 5 kittens! Needless to say it was like a cat zoo at mine lol! They are leaving this week - I will miss them all but also am grateful for the space and time that I will get back!

I read the other day that they are going to ban people walking their dogs in a specific part of Surrey because of all the dog poo. I hope this stupid ban doesn't move to parts of London, or else a lot of people won't be able to get a pooch. Or be stuck with a pooch indoors 24/7. That's not fair.

Where did you read that? Got any more info?

I can't remember where I saw the Surrey thing, but look here it is happening in Whitchurch also...
